These Terms of Service (the "Terms") apply to everyone (the "User") who uses the random video chat service "CROSS TALK" (the "Service") provided by us. Before using the Service, please read the Terms carefully and use the Service only after agreeing to them. By signing in and continuing to use the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Definitions)
- "User": any individual who uses the Service
- "Account": the identifying information a User creates in order to use the Service
- "Service": a service that lets a User set criteria and, by pressing the start button, video chat with a randomly connected User for a limited time
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
In the CROSS TALK service, Users simply select their desired criteria and click the start button to be automatically connected via video chat with another random User of the Service, enabling real-time conversation. Each video chat session has a time limit, and it ends automatically once the set limit is exceeded. Basic matching and calls are provided free of charge. Optional paid plans ("Premium") are also available, as described in Article 3.
Article 3 (Fees and payment method)
Basic use of the Service is free. We also offer an optional paid subscription ("Premium", monthly or yearly), the price and features of which are shown on the pricing page. Payment is made by credit card through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the subscription management ("Manage") button on My Page; after cancellation you can keep using Premium until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, we do not refund fees for early cancellation. We may change prices or plans with prior notice to Users.
The Service may display advertisements and links to third-party services (affiliate links) to Users on the free plan. Premium subscribers are not shown these advertisements. We are not responsible for the content or services of third parties that you reach through such links.
Article 3-2 (Eligibility)
The Service is available only to people aged 18 or older. By registering, Users represent and warrant that they are 18 or older. If we find that a User is under 18, we may suspend or delete the account without notice. The Service is intended for language and cultural exchange; it may not be used for dating, romance, or meeting people for that purpose.
Article 4 (Prohibited conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following conduct. If any of these actions are confirmed, we may take measures such as suspending the account, restricting use, or permanent banning.
- Sexual or obscene conduct (exposure, sexual topics, vulgar language, inappropriate camera work)
- Abusive or aggressive behavior (insults, threats, etc.)
- Discriminatory or prejudiced remarks (relating to race, religion, nationality, etc.)

You may join a call together with friends on a single screen, provided that everyone on screen is 18 or older and follows these Terms. The account holder is responsible for the conduct of everyone on screen.
Article 5 (Suspension or termination of use)
We may suspend or terminate a User's access to the Service under the following circumstances.
- The User has violated these Terms

In addition, the Service takes the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into account and handles your personal information with care. Personal data is securely managed through encryption and is never shared with third parties without the User's explicit consent.
Article 8 (Damages and disclaimer)
If a User violates these Terms and causes damage to us or a third party, the User shall be liable to compensate for that damage. Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we shall not be liable for any damages arising from the User's use of, or inability to use, the Service.
